The curriculum in Madania School follows the philosophy and practice of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). This is an international curriculum framework for children in the 3-12 year age range encompassing both the academic and non-academic areas of school life. Along with cognitive development, PYP at Madania addresses all students’ social, emotional, physical, and cultural needs.


The PYP Exhibition is a requirement for students who are in their last year of the PYP. All IB world schools offering the PYP are required to participate in the exhibition.

At Madania, Grade 6 students are required “to engage in an in-depth, collaborative inquiry process that involves them in identifying, investigating and ffering solutions to real life issues or problems”. Through about a 10-week student-led inquiry, students are provided the opportunity to demonstrate independence and responsibility for their own learning in their inquiry.

On Thursday, November 15th our Grade 6 students will present their 2018-2019 PYP Exhibition. The students have established the central ideas - We Continuously Develop Ideas and Processes to Address the Changing World, under the transdisciplinary theme, Where we are in place and time.

Some of the exciting inquiries led students to investigate topics that they want to explore. Students’ presentationswhich include reports, power point presentations, visual arts, etc. will be exhibite at 10.15.

This time, we would like to invite you to join us as we celebrate and share their explorations.Our opening and Exhibition Displays will be held on Thursday, November 15th 2018 at 09.00 - 11.15.

Special thanks to the Grade 6 teachers for the tremendous amount of work they have put into facilitating this project. We are amazed with the work the students are doing, and we appreciate all the time and energy they have put into guiding the students through the process.

We would also like to thank the mentors who have given up their time to work with groups of students. They are an invaluable resource and we appreciate their efforts to help the students with their self-management and organizational skills.
